Tranquillity

A sleeping messenger. Their stillness is sensed by all around them. It is a depth of quiet that causes every creature to speak in whispers. The timing of each delivery is as divine as the falling of an acorn to earth.

The air here knows this hour. Even the wind bows low, and I feel the stones know a secret.

Peace

Another sleeping messenger, only days apart. A scribe lives here, small and diligent, solitary in his work. This news - long awaited- moves quietly through the branches and the undergrowth, changing something in the way the earth breathes.

I have watched this scribe at his desk - laying ink softly upon the page whilst wearing his dressing gown and slippers, as small stories arriving effortlessly at dawn.

Hope

This messenger carries hope. It is written in the air between the trees, whispered along the stone, and carried in the sigils carved carefully into the rocks. Not easily seen, but those who notice are guided by their wisdom.

The sigils are like secrets and blessings pressed into the stones. I trace them lightly with my fingers, they feel alive.
