Not all stories from the woods are about moss and midsummer. Some are about people or bears - about the tangled paths they walk, and how love can still find its way through. I was honoured to illustrate this book, created to support families in speaking gently and truthfully about the past. Its a quiet offering of compassion, reminding us that, like the roots beneath the burrow, there is more to each life that what is seen on the surface.
